Jessica Schindler, PA-C, said she got interested in medicine in high school, as she envisioned a career that married science with serving other people. “Patient education is really important,” she said. “If patients understand what is going on and what’s going to happen, they are much less anxious.” She also enjoys bringing humor to the situation whenever it’s appropriate. “At the end of the day, it’s about serving the patients,” she said.
I chose to become a physician assistant because I have a heart for serving other people, especially in the context of problem solving and working with my hands. In the medical field, I am able to combine my interests with my desire to work directly with and for others.
Everyone here strives to do the best work they possibly can, all for the sake of each patient’s well-being. The collaboration and cohesion shown throughout all levels of the team make this group particularly remarkable.
