Ryan Chupp, MD, FACS, grew up admiring his father, a practicing obgyn, for his work ethic and dedication to his patients. As a result, he was drawn to the medical field at an early age. He chose to become a surgeon out of the desire to help those in need, as well as for the capacity it offers for lifelong service. “Specialists in General Surgery is a prayer answered,” he said. “We have a uniquely collaborative environment among many gifted surgeons, physician assistants, and support staff. This enables our focus to remain on what is most important – the patient.” When he’s not working, he enjoys golfing, listening to audiobooks, and spending time at the lake with his nephews. He also is an active volunteer in various health care organizations.
