Personal Philosophy:

Alissa Ventura, PA-C, said she believes a PA can round out the work of a surgeon by helping to coordinate the care with other members of the clinical team. She acts as a second pair of hands in the operating room and said she enjoys the wide variety of surgeries performed by Specialists in General Surgery physicians. “Good bedside manner is mostly listening,” she said, “and making sure patients feel heard.”
