Personal Philosophy:

I knew I wanted to do something in healthcare from the time I was young, and nursing provided me with lots of choices and opportunities. I found Specialists in General Surgery when I was still in nursing school and began working here in medical records and at the front desk. I fell in love with general surgery and its potential to return patients to previous or improved health. When I graduated from nursing school, I stayed on as an RN at the clinic, made hospital rounds for our patients, and eventually managed staff in the clinic. Then, I went back to school for my master’s degree, and today I focus much of my work on bariatric patients. In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants and recipes, and talking about travel.

Why did you choose to become a nurse practitioner?

I enjoy helping patients and families through their surgical experience and seeing them maintain or regain their health.
